Michael Halfast, CPA<\/h2>\n<p class=\"subheading\">President \u2014 Professional Liability Specialist<\/p>\n<p>As a professional liability specialist, Michael\u2019s expertise is in providing our clients with top-of-the-line coverage and loss prevention materials so that they not only feel secure with the insurance they have purchased but also understand how to limit their risks as a business and protect themselves from claims. Since 1997, Michael has created strong, semi-exclusive partnerships with some of the best professional liability and cyber liability insurance companies, which helps him continue to provide such great assistance to our clients year over year.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to becoming a professional liability specialist, Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tampa, with a double major in Accounting and Management Information Systems. \u00a0Michael also spent over five years as the administrator of a mid-sized law firm and over five years as a certified public accountant, most of that with the CPA firm Deloitte &amp; Touche. Michael remains licensed as a CPA, served on the FICPA Board of Governors for 6 years, and is a Trustee for the FICPA Scholarship Foundation, but does not serve the public any longer.<\/p>\n<p>Michael has been married to Denise for over 30 years. They have three children, Kelsey, Rebecca and Chase who continue to keep them on their toes, even though Chase is the only child still living with them. \u00a0Michael loves to get outdoors when he steps away from the office, which includes a new found hobby creating pallet wood projects\u2026that Denise most likely found on Pinterest.<br \/>\n\t<\/div>\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t<li id=\"tab-6a12408902960\" class=\"tab-area__title\">\r\n\t\t<button id=\"tab-6a12408902960__content\" class=\"tab-area__title__link\">G. As Michael\u2019s partner and mentor, his understanding of the strengths and diversities of each insurance company helps RAM provide clients with the best possible coverage options. She obtained her Professional Customer Service license in 2006, and became a Licensed Property Casualty Insurance Agent in 2015. She took pride in spending her time saving our clients\u2019 time by partially completing client applications\u2014one of our agency\u2019s unique services. Joy was also instrumental in modernizing the application process and transferring our office to a paperless environment, which we did in 2010. Joy was forced to resign\/retire in 2020 due to developing pain from small fiber neuropathy in her arms and hands.<\/p>\n<p>Joy now spends her time with her husband, Rick, at their home on the Big Bayou. A native of St. Petersburg, she loves the paradise lifestyle that Florida offers. She\u2019s a dedicated hard worker who reviews client policies for accuracy, handles other policy-related tasks, and serves our agency\u2019s bookkeeper. Julie is passionate about helping others and always puts the needs of clients first. Though she works part-time, Michael often has to kick her out the door so she can pick up her kids on time.<\/p>\n<p>Julie has a wonderful family. Her husband is a retired firefighter who now finds himself knee-deep in small construction projects for others. \u00a0Her beautiful daughter Hannah is studying to be a nurse. Her position began part-time and grew into full-time employment. With a strong desire to work, she continues to learn and grow within our company. With Joy&#8217;s resignation, she now works with Michael to partially complete our clients&#8217; applications, starting the renewal process and now works with the carriers to obtain terms for Michael to present.<\/p>\n<p>Time off for Jill is usually filled with a variety of activities&#8230;anything from cycling to traveling. As a former Disney cast member, Jill also has a passion for anything Disney that she&#8217;s able to share and enjoy with all four of her children, in any age group. Single mom life keeps her relatively busy raising her 14-year-old son at home still. Shane excels in academics, graduating the 8th grade from St. Paul&#8217;s Lutheran School in 2020.
